Arkodeep Ghosh aka Arko

Hi, my name is Arko and I work in ecom. Been in ecom since the beginning of time.

It began in college. I picked up WordPress and took my first internship at Krishworks for ₹2,000 a month. I stayed about a year. More interesting than the money makes it sound.

In my first year I found out that one of my college seniors had also been a senior at my school (thank you Surya da).

By third year I was building project work for US students. C# apps, writing bots, whatever came in. I did that for a good while (thank you Pritam da).

Around then I found Flux Academy and started learning branding. I could not afford the course, so I got hold of it another way. That is just what happened.

My first design client came through a referral. The project never went ahead. It was COVID and the money was not there on his side, which was fair enough. So the design thing quietly fell away.

Through all of it I was doing BattleBot. I had wanted to since first year.

I bought my first camera around then. There is a bit of a backstory. Everyone in my family buys their camera late. My grandfather got his after 30. My dad at 27. I got mine at 19. I shot for a while, and some of it is still on my Instagram. I would not call myself a photographer, but I did like it.

After third year I joined TechWishes for about a year. Good place to learn. A month in, I touched Shopify for the first time. Abir pushed me toward OS, and I am grateful for that. That is where most of it clicked.
